Dashboard Analytics

Learn how to use the dashboard analytics features to track performance and gain insights

Overview

The LikeDo Dashboard provides comprehensive analytics and insights about your links, traffic, and user engagement. This guide will help you understand and leverage all the analytics features available.

Dashboard Overview

Navigate to Dashboard → Overview to see your main analytics dashboard.

Key Metrics at a Glance

The dashboard displays four main stat cards:

1. Total Links

  • Number of short links you've created
  • Trend indicator (up/down vs previous period)

2. Total Clicks

  • Total clicks across all your links
  • Percentage change from previous period

3. Unique Visitors

  • Number of unique users who clicked your links
  • Helps measure true reach vs repeat visitors

4. Active Links

  • Links that received at least one click in the selected period
  • Shows which percentage of your links are actively used

Time Range Selection

Control the time period for your analytics:

Available ranges:

  • 7 days - See last week's performance
  • 30 days - Monthly overview
  • 90 days - Quarterly analysis

How to change range:

  1. Click the time range dropdown (top right)
  2. Select your preferred period
  3. All charts and stats update automatically

Core Statistics Cards

Below the main metrics, you'll find detailed statistics:

API Calls

  • Number of API requests made
  • Track API usage against your plan limits

Notes/Posts

  • Total blog posts or notes created
  • Content creation activity

Files

  • Number of files uploaded
  • Storage usage tracking

Storage Used

  • Total storage consumed
  • Displayed in MB/GB
  • Compare against plan limits

Interactive Analytics Charts

Trend Chart

What it shows:

  • Daily or weekly link creation and click trends
  • Visual representation of your growth
  • Compare different metrics side by side

How to use:

  1. Select metrics: Click legend items to show/hide metrics

    • Link creation (blue line)
    • Click volume (green line)
    • Unique visitors (purple line)
  2. Hover for details: Mouse over any point to see exact numbers

  3. Identify patterns:

    • Growth trends
    • Seasonal variations
    • Campaign impact

Example insights:

  • "Clicks spike every Wednesday" → Schedule posts on Wednesdays
  • "Link creation increased after campaign" → Campaign drove engagement
  • "Summer slowdown in traffic" → Plan accordingly for seasonal changes

Hourly Heatmap

What it shows:

  • 24-hour activity visualization
  • When your links get the most clicks
  • Day-by-day patterns

How to read the heatmap:

Horizontal axis: Hours of day (0-23) Vertical axis: Days of week (Mon-Sun) Colors:

  • Dark blue/purple = Low activity
  • Light blue/cyan = Medium activity
  • Yellow/orange = High activity
  • Red = Peak activity

Example patterns:

Peak hours: 2-4 PM (bright colors)
Dead zones: 2-6 AM (dark colors)
Best day: Wednesday (brightest row)
Weekend drop: Sat-Sun (darker overall)

  • Post links during peak hours for maximum engagement

Top Performing Links

What it shows:

  • Your best-performing links ranked by clicks
  • Detailed metrics for each link
  • Performance trends

Device Analytics

Access via Dashboard → Analytics → Devices

What it shows:

  • Desktop vs Mobile vs Tablet breakdown
  • Operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android)
  • Browser distribution (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.)

Why it matters:

  • Mobile-first: If 70% traffic is mobile, prioritize mobile UX
  • Browser issues: If low Chrome numbers, test Chrome compatibility
  • OS targeting: Tailor messaging based on user platforms

What it shows:

  • Regional distribution

  • Percentage of total traffic
  • Unique visitors from each region
